Shin Noguchi
Born in Shinjuku, Tokyo in 1976, he is a street photographer based in Kamakura and Tokyo since 2002.
His work focuses on capturing moments of beauty and humanity within everyday life. Without staging or using no-finder shooting, he depicts the intricate and delicate aspects of Japanese culture through a poetic and contemplative approach.
He has been invited to exhibit in France, Italy, London, and China (hosted by Leica Camera), and has been featured more times than any other Japanese photographer on the official Leica Camera blog. His work has been covered by Courrier, The Independent, The Guardian, and the FIFDH International Human Rights Film Festival, among others. He has also been commissioned or featured by Libération, The Wall Street Journal, and global brands such as Leica, Apple, Hermès, and ZARA.
He was selected for Leica’s 70th-anniversary campaign M is M, and his photographs are currently included in the worldwide touring exhibition The 100 Years of Leica.
He is the only Japanese member of the international photography collective “UP,” alongside Joel Meyerowitz and Magnum Photos’ Richard Kalvar.

シンノグチ
1976年、東京都新宿生まれ。2002年より鎌倉と東京を拠点に活動するストリートフォトグラファー。
日常の中に潜む美と人間性の瞬間を捉えることを主題とし、演出やノーファインダー撮影を用いずに、詩的かつ静謐なアプローチで日本文化の複雑で繊細な側面を表現している。
これまでにフランス、イタリア、ロンドン、中国（ライカ・カメラ主催）などで招待展示され、ライカカメラ公式ブログでは日本人として最多の紹介実績を持つ。彼の活動はクーリエ、インデペンデント、ガーディアン各紙、FIFDH国際人権映画祭などで取り上げられ、リベラシオン、WSJといった新聞社や、ライカ、アップル、エルメス、ザラといった企業などからも、数多くの撮影や写真提供の依頼を受ける。
鎌倉女学院創立120周年記念写真コンクールの審査員を務めたほか、ライカM型70周年キャンペーン「M is M」に起用され、現在、世界各国を巡回中のライカ100周年記念展にも写真が展示されている。
日本人として唯一、ジョエル・マイロウィッツやマグナム・フォトのリチャード・カルバーらとともにチーム「UP」に所属している。

「被写体は、生きることの意味やその価値を私に教えてくれます。私にとって写真を撮るという行為は、人々の存在 ー 人間の本質や業 ー を肯定することであり、それはまた自分自身の存在を肯定し、ありのままを受け入れる機会でもあるのです。」
