Shin Noguchi, born in 1976 in Shinjuku, Tokyo, is a street photographer based between Tokyo and current residence Kamakura, where he has lived since 2002.
He describes his street photography as an attempt to capture extraordinary moments of excitement, humanism, and beauty amidst the flow of everyday life. With his discreet, poetic, and enigmatic approach to his art, He is able to capture the subtleties and complexities of Japanese culture without relying on staged, no-finder, or hip shot photography.
He has been invited to hold solo exhibitions in Russia, France, China (organized by Leica Camera), and other locations. Additionally, he has been featured in various media outlets worldwide, including The Leica Camera Blog, Courrier, The Independent, The Guardian, Liberation, and FIFDH. He has also provided photography services and images for companies like Hermes, Apple, and ZARA. Currently, he has been selected for Leica Camera's global campaign “M is M.”
As the only Japanese member of the "UP" team alongside photographers like Joel Meyerowitz and Magnum Photos' Richard Kalvar, he collaborates in presenting photography to Japan and the world.

ノグチ・シン 1976年、東京都新宿生まれ。2002年より居を構える鎌倉と東京を拠点とするストリートフォトグラファー。
「非日常な瞬間は我々の日常の中に存在してる」という彼の言葉通り、美しさとヒューマニズムに満ちあふれた光景を我々の日常生活の流れの中から捉えるのが彼の写真の特徴である。隠し撮り（ノーファインダー撮影）や演出を一切することなく、詩的でどこか謎めいたアプローチによって日本文化の持つ複雑で繊細な要素を慎重に扱って表現している。
これまでにフランス、イタリア、ロンドン、中国（ライカ・カメラ主催）などで招待展示されている。ライカカメラ公式ブログでは日本人最多紹介、クーリエ紙、インデペンデント紙、ガーディアン紙、リベラシオン紙、国際人権映画祭と人権フォーラムなど、世界各国のメディアで特集され、エルメス、アップル、ザラなどから撮影依頼や写真提供もしている。現在、ライカカメラのグローバルキャンペーン「M is M」に起用されてる。また、鎌倉女学院創立120周年記念では写真コンクールの審査員を務めた。現在、全国9都市の屋外スクリーンを使用したデジタルビジョン写真展、そして中国・連州国際写真祭にて招待展示を開催中。
日本人でただ一人、ジョエル・マイロウィッツやマグナムフォトのリチャード・カルバーらとチーム「UP」を組み、日本と世界に向けて写真を発表している。

「被写体は、生きることの意味やその価値を私に教えてくれます。私にとって写真を撮るという行為は、人々の存在 ー 人間の本質や業 ー を肯定することであり、それはまた自分自身の存在を肯定し、ありのままを受け入れる機会でもあるのです。」
